Job Description

Company in N. Billerica is looking for Engineering and Maintenance Technicians

To provide maintenance and repair services to automated and semi-automated production systems in a just in time (JIT) manufacturing environment.

Provides troubleshooting, repair and maintenance services for production related systems and components including linear motion, high vacuum, process water cooling, hydraulics, pneumatics, remote handling and PLC/HMI interfaces with direct or indirect oversite.
Provides cross functional support to manufacturing processes in a JIT environment including the performance of operations coverage.
Provides direct and indirect utilities maintenance/repair support of utilities systems including cooling water systems, compressed air and HVAC.
Fabricates and/or modifies mechanical / electrical components, as required, in support of maintenance activities.
Participates in fault-finding and route-cause analysis investigations as a system technician. Effectively communicates findings to appropriate levels of the organization.
Supports process monitoring initiatives with the focus on data collection and communication for use in identifying trends and potential problems.
Provides support in execution of capital projects. Conducts small scale internal projects through assignment execution, fabrication, testing, implementation and close-out.
Oversees volunteers and/or maintenance teams during performance of repairs or maintenance related activities.
Serves as a mentor to other group members ensuring continuous skill development.
Supports daily work assignment process including routine and PM work scheduling.
Proactively monitors system performance through work execution with focus on Identifying opportunities for improvement in reliability, repeatability and efficiency. Effectively communicates and applies improvements with full compliance to OSHA, cGMP, FDA and NRC regulations utilizing standard practices/ procedures for documenting changes and testing.
Actively applies and promotes safety rules and awareness. Always demonstrates good safety practices including the appropriate use of protective equipment.  Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards.

Minimum Skills and/or Experience
Ability to operate a wide variety of test equipment, power and hand tools for the mechanical/electrical diagnosis, repair and/or fabrication of systems and components.
Ability to perform nominal alignment and/or integration between parallel and cascading production processes to ensure precise material or product flow.
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Prior experience using a CMMS system as a work tracking and maintenance documentation system.
Possesses clear oral and written skills in documenting repair, testing, maintenance and provisional process documentation related to manufacturing maintenance.
AS in a mechanical technology related program or technical school/military education with a mechanical focus and 3 years industrial experience or > 5 years industrial production maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA and industry safety policies and radiation safety techniques.
