Facilities and Machine Maintenance Supervisor

WESTFORD AND HUDSON (DEVENS, MA LATE 2022), MA
Accumet is an industry-leading advanced processing manufacturer for new and legacy materials fabrication, precision laser services, and critical component assembly. We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor to oversee facilities and machine maintenance operations at our Westford and Hudson locations and move with us to Devens, MA in late 2022.

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will leading the charge for a small team of Maintenance Technicians maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing laser equipment in Westford, other machinery in Hudson and facilities upkeep at both locations. You will lead a preventative maintenance program and keep accurate maintenance records while constantly striving towards a goal of zero downtime.  You will also lead the effort related to the transition of company equipment to a brand new facility in Devens, MA in late 2022.  This effort will entail coordinating a 5S program and ensuring compliance prior to the move.

Experience and Responsibilities

Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of manufacturing operations
Knowledge of current industrial electrical standards and codes
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics; analog or digital and hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
Understanding computers: diagnose, remove, reformat and install mother boards; ability to back up data
Lead small team of internal Maintenance Technicians and coordinate external vendors as needed to troubleshoot equipment and facilities maintenance operations
Roll up and sleeves and troubleshoot machines and facilities maintenance issues as needed
Lead facility and equipment preventative maintenance program
General machine re-build skills required
Supervisory experience
Minimum requirements

Job shop experience
Time management skills
Professionalism
Minimum 3 years experience in industrial mechanical maintenance in manufacturing environment
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
BONUS:

Laser troubleshooting experience
Has participated and/or led 5S program
Hours: 7am-3:30pm with ability for overtime as needed

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
