Quality Control Technician
Billerica, MA

7 am to 3:30 pm M-F

$21-$27 per hr Depending on experience

Must have 5 years of quality control experience

Job Function:
To inspect, test, grade, sample, or weigh machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products.
Work may be performed before, during, or after processing.
Training Time:  Minimum 1-2 months
Specific Requirements:
-    Performs dimensional and visual inspection of parts, assemblies, and final products with minimal supervision
-    Completes first article inspection and in-process verification?s
-    Maintains records of inspection and prepares a list of defects
-    Responsible for incoming inspection
-    Measure and inspect parts using handheld gages and handheld measuring tools
-    Performs other duties
Qualifications:
-    5-year minimum experience in a quality control/manufacturing environment
-    Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
-    Basic mathematics and Geometry/Trigonometry.
-    Able to interpret blueprints and use vernier calipers, micrometers, gage pins, comparator, profilometer and other various inspection equipment is a plus.
-    Able to work within a team
-    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer usage
-    CMM operation and programming is a plus
Tool, Techniques and Knowledge:
-    Be able to communicate in English (verbally and written)
-    Be able to read and understand the English language
-    Be focused, detailed orientated and not easily distracted or careless
-    Be able to understand BOM, visual aid and customer supplied instruction details
-    Be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime, when required
-    Be able to have reasonable eyesight (natural or corrected)
-    Be self-starting and able to understand directions given to them by Group Leaders and Supervisors
