Job Description
Position will be in Lynn MA
Function effectively as part of a Career Center team.
Advocate for career center customers.
Facilitate the Career Center Seminar at least twice a week.
Input customers' Career Action Plans and CCS attendance into MOSES on a timely basis.
Serve as primary point person for RESEA program. Conduct thorough RESEA appointments while marketing the various services of the center.
Explain to customers the procedure and process for Career Center services including case management, job development, training opportunities, and referrals.
Determine customer suitability for center services by providing or arranging for the provision of appropriate services needed to facilitate the implementation and successful operation of the customer's employment plan.
Input relevant customer data appropriately and timely by following all MOSES entry policies.
Respond promptly to requests and maintenance needed for all data validation, audits, and monitoring purposes.
Customize approach to the individual's needs and elicit solutions and strategies from the customer.
Provide feedback and an objective perspective by gathering information through interviewing and observing individuals.
Research labor market issues and current workplace trends M. Inform customers of matters relevant to Career Center services; follow up on previous services; determine the success of prior services; update information; and offer additional services.
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with Career Center partners.
May need to travel between centers for meetings or coverage needs (Salem/Lynn/Gloucester) and to partner sites (including, but not limited to job fairs, training vendors, etc.)
Performs other duties necessary to support customer service and insure the smooth daily operation of the Center.
Full Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
IN THE CASE OF A PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY, THE SALARY PROVISIONS OF THE APPLICABLE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WILL BE UTILIZED FOR PLACEMENT WITHIN THE SALARY RANGE.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in employment counseling, vocational counseling, guidance, placement counseling, rehabilitation counseling or educational counseling, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in counseling or guidance may be substituted for the required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
