Salvage/PCB Specialist, POC Meter Line
This position reviews board assemblies for salvage and refurbishment as necessary, uses equipment: small hand tools, soldering equipment, overhead torque drivers, and computers. You'll be required to read and follow procedures for salvage and test, work with Windows applications to test devices. You'll work within the group and with management to generate continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work with potentially biohazardous material and work within group and with management to generate and enact continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential responsibilities: ability to read, follow, and explain the procedures being used, ability to use a variety of hand tools, including soldering equipment and computers, a good understanding of quality control and the ability to recognize defects, ability to communicate effectively with supervision and engineering, ability to understand and complete paperwork correctly, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications: ability to read and speak English, soldering certification. Skills: general mechanical aptitude, ability to work using a microscope, hand soldering per IPC standards, ability to stand or sit while working for extended periods. A minimum of 1 year of relevant manufacturing or production experience as well as a high school diploma or equivalent are required. The position is located at the Billerica, MA facility.
