Job Description

The Manufacturing Production Planner supports the manufacturing process by performing kit release/receipt, material support, and documentation maintenance activities within production environments that support manufacturing schedules and operational commitments on engineering and production programs. This role is responsible for participating in the accuracy and timeliness of the production process.
Key Responsibilities  
?    Maintain job progress, status records, and notifies supervisor of impending delays or serious difficulties affecting commitments
?    Ensure that engineering change orders affecting parts and materials are incorporated into products by effective date
?    Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules
?    Plan production commitments or timetables for business units, specific programs, or jobs, using sales forecasts
?    Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering
?    Ensure changes are reflected in database (w/o creation/deletion/de-kitting)
?    Process and complete ECN?s as assigned
?    Providing ship dates to spares orders
?    Maintenance of work order shortage reports and material issues

Experience and Qualifications
?    High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor?s Degree preferred
?    Must have 3+ years related experience in material/production or configuration control environment
?    Working knowledge of material requirements and planning processes in a mixed model environment
?    Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with high level of attention to detail skills is a must
?    Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in and within team and other departments
?    Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel / Word) required.
?    Ability to work independently, following general department policies and procedures
?    Must have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
?    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required with an attention to detail
?    Good listening skills needed with the ability to follow through on tasks with understanding of given direction

The worker may be exposed to exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.   Primarily sedentary work involving sitting or standing at workstation should be expected.

The employee must have the ability to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.   The employee should expect to have an inside work environment with conditions that may be subject to indoor temperature changes.
