Job Description

The MassHire Metro South/West Career Center Business Community Outreach Service Representative, under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is responsible for developing and fostering working relationships with training and education providers, social service programs as well as local cities and towns in the MassHire Metro South/West region. These relationships will be a critical component in expanding our referral pipeline of jobseekers, businesses and training participants and will result in a more diverse spectrum of career pathway options and talent pipelines for our community.
This position provides a wide variety of outreach focused functions including, but not limited to, technical and programmatic assistance, marketing and promoting Career Center services to partner programs, utilizing labor market and business information that results in connecting customers to career and training opportunities.

-Develops, fosters, and maintains relationships with the region?s community partner programs to promote and connect the MassHire MSW -Career Center customers to the full array of services which it provides to businesses and job seekers.
-Works directly with training and education partners to increase their knowledge of WIOA Title I funding opportunities, assist them in the course approval process and provide technical assistance.
-Maintain an active knowledge and understanding of Career Center existing partnerships, while generating new partner contacts and business community partnerships through standard outreach efforts including, but not limited to, phone/email outreach, labor market research, networking, social media, and more.
-Works to create events and facilitate opportunities for stakeholders to attend recruitments, career fairs, and industry briefings.
-Recruit and assist MassHire customers in navigating local resources and provide appropriate referrals.
-Provide job placement assistance, which includes job development and working closely with the Business Services team to match customers to open job opportunities.
-Documents all work-related activities in MOSES, a statewide database, on a timely basis. Maintains updated contact information, confirms, and enters all job orders from employers.  .
-Conducts follow up with training and education partners and employers to ensure successful outcomes.
-Perform additional duties as required.

-Bachelor?s degree in Public Administration, Human Services, Business Management, or related fields at a minimum.
-Three or more years of experience in workforce development, recruitment, economic or business development, marketing, customer service or related fields.
-Strong time management and organizational skills.
-Demonstrated ability to establish and deliver high level of stakeholder service/satisfaction with both internal and external customers
-Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employer representatives and job seekers, across multiple industry sectors and employment backgrounds.
-Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database and report management, demonstrated ability to operate corporate social media accounts while leveraging it as a tool for lead generation, promotions, and new employer (customer) outreach.
-Thorough knowledge, experience, and management of the WIOA regulations, programs, guidelines, and administrative requirements is highly desired. Experience with other federal or state workforce related programs is a strong plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business or legal documents such as WIOA policy and informational issuances or standard operating procedures.
-Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to partner organizations, management, and the public.
-Must possess and demonstrate excellent soft skill
