Job Description
Wash/Laser/Pack Operator - entry level
Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-2:45am
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, 10% shift differential paid for 2nd shift
Essential Functions
o Visually inspect parts for conformity (no scratching or mislabeling)
o Wash parts while adhering to the posted part washing process and check to ensure that each tray was washed correctly (no oil, tarnish, or water spotting on part)
o Operate Laser Marking machine
o Package parts according to posted procedures
Inspection
o Visual Part Inspection -Check parts for obvious manufacturing defects during laser and packaging
o Check that each tray was washed correctly and there is no oil / tarnish / water spotting on parts
o Check each tray after laser marking to make sure all parts have the correct laser mark, that the mark is aligned correctly, and that there are no faint characters
o Follow posted part specific packaging work instructions
Documentation Accuracy
o Report accurate shift transfer quantities added to wash/laser SF-06 Workcenter Movement Log
o Place production SF-06 sheets in each folder on a per shift basis
o Complete SF-31 Inventory Transfer sheet with correct Part #, Job #, Box Qty, and # of Boxes, initialed with employee # and dated for every box being transferred to inventory for each shift
Cleanliness and Organization
o Stock up boxes and empty trays for next shift
o Replace printer labels or ribbons and make sure there is always a replacement available in the room
o Mop or sweep up any spills or debris as required
o Collect all scrap from current shift and place into the scrap dump box marked for that shift
o Include a copy of the SF-31 Inventory Transfer Sheet in the box for the shift and deliver to management
o Empty trash containers when full, remove any trash from the laser room and move damaged boxes or paper trays is a recycle bin

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time; and stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required Education and Experience
o High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
