NEIWPCC is seeking a team-oriented, committed, and personable Assistant Information Officer to provide clerical and administrative support to our headquarters office. The incumbent will work with other Business Operations staff to provide support to assigned functional groups within NEIWPCC. Tasks include collecting and organizing information from various NEIWPCC programs, drafting reports or communications for both internal and external audiences, supporting conferences and meetings (virtually and in person), managing data and records, and general office support such as answering phones, greeting guest, ordering supplies, and mail distribution. The incumbent will work with the Business Operations Director, Executive Director, the Executive Committee and Commissioners, and other internal and external partners associated with NEIWPCC's work.
Successful candidates will have related experience, a high-degree of multi-tasking and time-management capabilities, and welcome collaboration. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, databases, telephone and computer systems. Experience with travel arrangements and/or a corporate travel environment preferred. Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. Candidates with alternative qualifications or who have taken a less traditional career path may be considered if an aptitude for success and a strong willingness to learn is clearly apparent. COVID-19 vaccination required.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in NEIWPCC's Headquarters office, located at 650 Suffolk Street, Lowell, MA 07854. Duties will be performed largely in an office setting, but with a need for travel, for which a valid driver's license and private means of transportation is required. After six months of employment, this position may be eligible for a partial telework schedule for office-based duties, subject to approval and determined by program and office needs.
