ESOL Instructor (Evening Classes)
Hours 5:30p-7:30p

LCCPS is seeking qualified and dynamic candidates to teach English to our parents and community members.
The program runs for 6-8 consecutive weeks per term 2-4 days per week in the evenings.
Provide project-based instruction and/or assistance to students in the academic enrichment program
Designs and teaches a curriculum that provides opportunities for students to increase their skills and interests in a given area.
Assists with: recruiting, registering, placement of new students, curriculum development and implementation.
Manage and provide paperwork, including attendance, goals and student information to the appropriate staff
Assists with planning community events/forums
Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings
Promote digital literacy in all aspects of teaching

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
-Instructional teaching experience with adult students
-Experience teaching ESOL preferred
-Experience working with linguistically and culturally diverse adult population
-Establishes and clearly articulates instructional outcomes based upon
-Understanding of adult second language acquisition and literacy processes
-Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Proficiency in a Second language (Spanish/ Portuguese/ Khmer Preferred)
