Group Sales & Catering Manager
The Westford Regency Inn & Conference Center is looking for a highly motivated, passionate, well-spoken and experienced Group Sales & Catering Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team.
The Group Sales & Catering Manager is responsible for selling and meeting revenue goals as well as some detailing and servicing both Group & Catering business at the Hotel. Candidates must be comfortable in problem solving with client relationships and event management. He/She must also have a strong knowledge of both Corporate & SMERF / Association Markets and understand the importance of prospecting and creating new sales opportunities for the Hotel. Ideally would be involved in local industry organizations, candidates, should possess the ability to build new business opportunities and generate leads through connectivity with meeting planners and potential clients.
We are seeking someone who is motivated, responsible, detail oriented and is willing to be an integral part of innovating new ways to improve the base business of the Hotel while ensuring The Westford Regency?s service standards are met consistently.

Responsibilities:
· Proactive solicitation of direct-selling in the local, Corporate & SMERF, Association and social markets and cultivating client relationships for long term and repeat business.
· Maximize Guestroom & Catering revenues and minimize erosion of check averages from price-sensitive groups.
· Communication with clients prior to events to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts for all group & catering functions.
· Independently pursuing new accounts and making prospecting calls on a weekly basis
· Some Event planning and detailing for booked events
· Contact Meeting Planner by mall, telephone, customer outings and site Inspections.
· Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events,
· Negotiate space, dates and rates to obtain booking goal while focusing on shoulder and off-season business.
· Attend trade and travel shows of various market area for promoting hotels event business.
· Encouraging repeat business through excellent customer service and inquiry handling.
· Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs.
· Managing all aspects of the billing process for bookings.
· Helping the hotel to Identify new avenues of business and bring in more banquet events to the hotel.
· Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and MOD Shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
· College degree preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales/catering experience
· Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
· Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
· Knowledge of DELPHI and experience a plus!
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
