Job Description

Nova Biomedical is looking to hire a Labeler and Packager (PMI Operator). The PMI Operator will be responsible for the daily labeling and packaging of high volume Test Strip vialed products. The PMI Operator will be cross-trained to operate a variety of automated equipment throughout both the labeling and packaging, as well as the manufacturing of high volume test strips. The PMI Operator will also be trained to manually label and package the high volume Test Strips.

More specific responsibilities will include:

- Set-up label printer and label applicators
- Maintain equipment in good operating order
- Notify Group Leader / Supervisor of any malfunctions with equipment and/or problems w/ applicator                      
- Maintain lot integrity between production lots
- Package and Label Test Strips per a defined operating procedure - requires numerous process steps
- Palletize finished product
- May be required to either sit, stand or alternate for most of the day
- Verify product (inserts)
- Lift upto 40 pounds
- Documenting all processes accurately per ISO and GMP.
- At times, work in a Clean Room environment; wearing lab coat, bouffant, gloves and safety glasses while in the room.

Qualifications:

- At least 1 to 5 years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing assembly position.
- Must have good communications skills.
- Prior machine operating skills preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English Language.
- Good penmanship is required in filling out various logs, travelers, identifiers, appendices and documents per ISO and GMP requirements.

Skills and Competencies:
- Individual must possess the ability to pay strict attention to details, follow instructions from verbal and written procedures.
- Must have the personal drive to learn and operate process equipment throughout the operation.
- Participating in the manufacturing of high volume clinical test strips requires dependability and positive attitude as key characteristics to the success of producing test strips.
