Job Description

Specialty Materials is currently seeking a Chemical Recovery Technician for 2nd and 3rd Shifts
$21 - $23/hr. depending on experience
Additional shift differential of 10% (2nd shift) or 15% (3rd shift).

Job Requirements:
    Training on 1st shift for 6 months mandatory!
    High school diploma or equivalent qualification
    US citizen or green card holder
    Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
    Physically capable and can lift 50-100lbs
    Available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
    Effective problem-solving abilities.
    Excellent verbal communication skills
    Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities:
    Monitor temperatures and flows and takes corrective actions to ensure that the plant is operating safely within documented operating parameters. The boron trichloride recovery system consists of low temperature refrigeration units used to condense unreacted boron trichloride (BCl3) for reuse.
    Lead the restart reactors and the recovery system to ensure plant safely after a power outage
    Monitor plant operation during the shift to ensure process and production is operating as required to maintain product volumes
    They will also have a thorough understanding of boron reactor operation and fiber manufacturing as the recovery technician is the lead person within the facility on the off shifts.
    Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

Salary:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
