Residential Counselors (Methuen Hotel) All Shifts

Day Shift - Full Time (M-F - 8am-4pm)
2nd Shift - Full Time (M- F 4pm-12am)
Weekend Shift-Part Time (12pm-8pm)
3rd Shift (12am-8am)

Duties and Responsibilities
We have multiple openings for individuals to work in our Shelter Staff program. Residential Counselors are responsible for working closely with clients in a congregate emergency residential shelter site. This position also provides oversight of site operations which include enforcing safety measures, program rules, and evening expectations using a trauma informed and client centered approach. Other responsibilities include: serving either lunch or dinner or both, providing guidance and information to clients regarding the daily activity schedule, rules and policies; overseeing security and safety; completing housekeeping duties; ensuring daily chores are completed; providing emergency crisis management to individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
    High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    1 year previous experience working with individuals in need of social services (preferably low income individuals) required.
    Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    Excellent crisis management skills.
    Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection.
    Good attention to detail.
    Bilingual skills preferred.
