Job Type: Full-time, with nights and weekends
Are you passionate about driving sales and building lasting customer relationships? As our Sales and Marketing Manager, you'll spearhead our sales funnel, from bolstering brand awareness to managing client interactions. Your role will involve extensive external communication, including maintaining relationships with existing customers, planning and attending events, managing online presence, and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Cultivate and enhance relationships with existing wholesale customers through regular
communication, seasonal promotions, and identifying avenues for sales growth.
- Support the owner's sales efforts by promptly following up with potential customers and
attending special events.
- Develop the eCommerce segment by leveraging web assets for online sales and supporting
local fresh mushroom sales.
- Implement and manage a CRM system for effective customer communication and data
- Create and execute a strategic marketing calendar for email and social media.
- Plan, manage, and attend special events, such as popup markets and speaking engagements.
- Provide exceptional daily customer service by responding to web and social media inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with the Production and Operations Managers to align production with
projected sales. Provide backup support to the Operations Manager as needed.
- Manage an annual marketing budget
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in client or account management, customer service, or similar roles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
- Proficiency in or ability to learn various tools and platforms (e.g., Shopify, Fishbowl, Klaviyo,
SEO, Google suite, Canva, social media).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with the local food movement in Eastern Massachusetts.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to drive the delivery van to popup events.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects.
- Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds, particularly during popup markets.
