Description of Tasks
1. Work from Drawings, specifications, and job layouts; use a variety of precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators and all vernier instruments with a high degree of accuracy.
2. Lay out and plan machining operations, perform difficult machine set ups, Make adjustments to programs as required and operations involving the improving of tools and machine along with improvising of standard equipment for unusual adaptations.
3. Set up, adjust, and operate various types of milling machines, boring mills, engine lathes, tracer lathes, and drill presses; to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of close tolerance work with a high degree of accuracy.
4. Setup , Machine all types of jobs, repeat, pre-engineered or new development jobs in all metals (common and less common) with no supervision
5. Select speeds and feeds, operational sequences and tooling for required operations.
6. Grind tools, spin blocks, rollers, rings, etc..
7. Responsible for equipment, material, work and keeping the work area clean and organized.
8. Proceed with minimum or no supervision and direction.
9. Work requires knowledge of machining, shop mathematics and shop practices, plus 10 years? experience.
10. Be dependable, work well with others and focused on job being done
11. Be neat and orderly around work area
12. Perform other duties as necessary in order to complete other tasks.
13. Tradesperson demonstrations a working knowledge and follow all of the PPE requirements for the utility position.
14. Must have a valid OSHA fork truck license and hold 1C and 3A hoisting license.
15. Demonstrate accuracy in all documentation and job reporting
16. Be dependable, work well with others and focused on job being done

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or G.E.D. along with trade school or experience in lieu of all types of machining methods at Spincraft, MA, as detailed in job description and the ability to read and write English.
