Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Programs Manager / Program Administrator of the School Age Childcare Program has the primary responsibility for the development, and implementation of a safe and nurturing environment; direct responsibility for implementation of all program goals in the areas of social, educational and child growth and development; provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the School Age Childcare program, serving girls ages 5 to 12.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining a positive, equitable, accessible, safe, and supportive
environment for program participants;
- Assist in overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs;
- Focus on qualitative and quantitative inquiry for continuous improvement;
- Monitor and manage programming activities and reporting in collaboration with the Programs
Director and other leadership team;
- Develop and maintain external partnerships with schools that align with Girls Inc. of Greater
Lowell's mission to implement quality programming;
- Act as a liaison with fund development and volunteers initiatives and placements;
- Recruit, hire, train, lead, coach, and provide performance feedback with Program Specialists,
facilitators, and assistant specialists to ensure quality programming at capacity;
- Develop and implement operational program design;
- Ensure that curriculum being facilitated meets Girls Inc. Experience standards and are in
alignment with the approved program calendar and annual goals;
- Work collaboratively with the program team to establish annual program calendar to ensure all
girls have access to strong, smart, and bold programming opportunities and is in keeping with
agency strategic plan and annual goals;
- Attend regular staff development, facilitate training and monthly EEC meetings;
- Actively seek personal and professional growth opportunities for self and staff;
- Embrace challenges, new experiences, and be willing to be flexible and stretch to exhibit our
growth learning and growth culture;
- Assist in Fall, vacation, and summer enrollment as needed;
- Attend events and serve as an ambassador for GIGL;
- Participate in agency-wide planning initiatives;
- Other related duties as required or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of demonstratable experience working with youth (classroom, behavioral, social, and
emotional learning management);
- Minimum requirement of a 2-to-4-year college degree;
- Must have a reliable transportation as day-to-day work travel will be needed;
- Must be eligible in obtaining certification in First Aid/CPR;
- Must be flexible to work Monday through Friday during school hours, up until 6pm with
occasional weekend hours as needed;
- Must meet Department of Early Education and Care (DECC) qualifications for Program
Administrator;
- Ability to learn how to input data into spreadsheet and/or data tracking software;
- Must have supervision and teaching experience with school age children;
- Knowledge of DEEC policies and requirements is preferred;
- A desire to care for girls and provide the best possible environment for them to grow strong,
smart and bold;
- Ability and understanding in supervisory skills and methods;
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Outlook;
- Bi-lingual, Spanish/English preferred.

- Salary is based on years of experience, degree of education, and level of expertise. A benefit
