Job Description

General Description:  
Finishing method used in industrial settings and manufacturing environments to remove burrs and sharp edges on parts created by machines.  Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area.  Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Key Functions:

General Tasks
-    Perform typical deburring operations.
-    Maintain that tools used and work area is in a clean orderly condition.
-    Follow prescribed safety procedures at all times.

Deburring Tasks
-    Remove raised particles and shavings that appear on parts.
-    Repetitive filing or use of a grinder to smooth away nicks and fragments.
-    Sanding by hand or sanding with a pneumatic hand tool for more troublesome deformities.
-    Wash and polish parts prior to submitting for inspection.
-    Audit and order materials needed for deburring activities.
