Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all activities associated with the repair and maintenance of the manufacturing equipment and facilities. Priorities include oversight and implementation of the established PM program. analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs. Responsibilities include implementation of required repairs and recordkeeping using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The ability to plan, train, communicate and delegate is key to this position. This is a hands-on job, and the Maintenance Supervisor is also the chief maintenance technician.
Essential job functions
- Oversight, operation and reliability of our Manufacturing infrastructure including our
thermal oxidizer, air compressor, chiller and boiler.
- Detect faulty operations and troubleshoot to repair all types of production machinery,
equipment, and the facilities.
- Oversight of electrical systems and diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, such as
transformers, motors, variable frequency drives, PLC, faulty wiring, inspecting, and
testing malfunctioning machinery.
- Plan, schedule, drive the execution of maintenance work.
- Monitor the flow of work requisitions from receipt to completion.
- Interact with Vendors to drive support for Equipment Sustainability.
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors.
- Determine acceptable levels of inventory for all supplies, tools and equipment and
maintain/monitor the same using cost effective methods.
- Expedite all requests for purchases through research on item specification, pricing,
availability, and vendor¿s selections.
- Provide leadership and supervision for a team of skilled Maintenance technicians.
- Keep equipment and maintenance shop in a clean and orderly condition.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all work performed using CMMS.
Requirements
- BS Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Proficient with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Demonstrated experience with CMMS and/or other ERP tool.
- Observe all safety protocols while completing required tasks as outlined in Majilte's
Safety Programs or per governmental regulating authorities.
- Must know electrical testing equipment and, provable training in industry standard NEC
Lock Out/Tag Out.
- Strong knowledge of: Variable Frequency Drives, PLC¿s, equipment installations,
maintenance, tools, and safety regulations.
- Ability to design and fabricate equipment is a plus
