Job Description
Summary
The Employment manager works in partnership with the Day Services Program Managers in providing employment supports to participants. They are responsible for training and supervising all staff related to employment supports. They will work closely with the marketing and finance teams in the development and management of employment opportunities for individuals who have indicated a desire to work. The Employment Manager will act as the point person for all employment supports in the agency. They will provide assistance and support to participants and staff in a manner that maximizes human dignity, community integration and opportunities for self-direction.
Brief Essential Job Functions
- Provide oversight for all employment relationships for the agency. Carry case load.
- Working in close collaboration with the marketing and finance departments, develop and
maintain relationships with the business community that enable participants to work in varied
settings and fields with varied levels of support (on-site work, group employment and
individual employment).
- This oversight includes outreach to employers, networking, building relationships, negotiating
and managing contracts, billing, tracking, data entry of all bookmarks, staffing, on-going
communication with worksites, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Serves as Mandated Reporter as required by the Disabled Persons Protection Commission.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in related field preferred, High School Diploma or GED
required
- Experience in an employment support position or career coaching preferred.
- Must be flexible, and actively demonstrate personal desire to enhance the lives of people with
disabilities.
- Must be able to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing to fulfill documentation
and service needs of agency.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Driver's License. Transporting of participants for work/ recreational purposes.
- Includes maintaining a current valid driver¿s license, clean driving record, minimum age of 21
for transporting participants, driver safety training, and regular availability of a vehicle in good
working order with current inspection, insurance, and registration.
- Current First Aid and adult CPR certification required within first 6 months on the job;
thereafter employee is expected to remain current with First Aid and adult CPR certification.
- PABC certification required within first 6 months on the job.
- Flexibility to work with any participant(s) assigned who may require varying levels of support,
to include but not limited to, behavioral interventions (may include physical and verbal
interventions) and personal care assistance (toileting, eating, etc.).
