The role of the ADAS Technician is to perform day-to-day ADAS services and provide a range of solutions, to the best of their ability, to any problems that present themselves during the ADAS calibration process. In addition, Crown Collision Solutions is at its core a solutions
provider, therefore the ADAS Technician will also be tasked in providing various mechanical & electrical solutions to any job that Crown Collision Solutions agrees to undertake. The ADAS Technician role, and in general servicing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS),
is complex and technologically driven and requires constant learning and adapting to this ever-changing part of the automotive industry. The candidate must have a valid driver's license as a portion of this job entails road testing vehicles that are serviced as well as picking up and delivering vehicles to our customers throughout the South Shore. Ideally, the candidate for this ADAS Technician position has experience in the automotive industry (auto body, mechanical, and/or electrical) as servicing ADAS systems may require a wide array of
automotive knowledge.

Day-to-day duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing ADAS calibrations/procedures on every type of vehicle Manufacturer
- Providing mechanical, electrical, and at times auto body solutions to a wide range of potential issues
- Performing pre-alignment checks and four-wheel alignments on a scissor lift
- Occasionally opening and closing the calibration shop
- Pick-up, road-test, and deliver customer vehicles
- Keeping the shop clean and organized
- Researching, diagnosing, and troubleshooting a wide range of automotive issues that occur during the ADAS calibration process or in general mechanical and electrical service offerings
- Identifying ADAS systems vehicles are equipped with and identifying what
calibrations are required using technology/software Crown Collision Solutions is equipped with
- Using diagnostic scan tools to perform ADAS calibrations and troubleshooting
- Fill out service sheets to accurately track each job Crown Collision Solutions undertakes
- Use Crown Collision Solutions CCC/Mitchell estimating systems to keep track of researching, diagnostic, and troubleshooting items as well as parts replaced/removed and re-installed while servicing vehicles
- Continuously learn and adapt to the changes of ADAS calibrations and this unique space of the industry we are in
Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates MUST have a valid driver's license to be considered for this position. In addition,
other requirements include:
- 5 + years of automotive work experience (auto body, mechanical, and/or electrical)
- Work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Organized in a work environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment driven by strong efficiency
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to carry out repetitive tasks
- Ability to proactively find areas to contribute during slow periods of work
- Ability to follow instructions in a dynamic work environment
Additional qualifications that are NOT required but beneficial include:
- Knowledge and experience in multiple facets of the automotive industry
- Knowledge and experience using diagnostic scan tools
- Knowledge and experience of ADAS tools and calibration process
- Experience performing wheel alignments
- Knowledge and experience in using Alldata or Sun Collision databases
- Knowledge and experience in using CCC and/or Mitchell estimating systems
- Knowledge and experience using OEM software (such as Honda's HDS, Toyota's Techstream, etc.)
- Any I-Car or I-Car equivalent courses and certifications completed
