Your Role:
The Kitting Operator 1 will be responsible for the final packaging, boxing, and picking of products according to established quality standards to meet customer demand and expectations. Your role also includes optimizing operations to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensure proper line opening and line closing for one or more complete operations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
* Communicate to the manufacturing team any issues or opportunities that could impact product quality.
* Work directly with the kitting room and the shippers/receivers to coordinate all materials needed on the shop floor.
* Assists with weekly cycle counts and issue materials to work orders as needed.
* Adhere to shift hours and break schedules, demonstrating consistent attendance.
* Ability to communicate to the manufacturing team of any issues or opportunities that may affect product quality.
* Meet output targets set by line leads and supervisors.
* Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools; participate to keep team members accountable on proper usage.
* Use all safety tools as necessary (Cutters, Lifters, etc.), expect to train other employees on it.
* Adheres to company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.
This is a B shift position Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-12:30am
Physical Attributes:
* Regular standing, reaching, bending, and twisting
* Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
* Ability to follow written documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, test methods and specifications.
* Strong understanding of ERP system transactions.
* Proficient in operating PIT equipment and capable of training others, with the ability to complete box truck training.
* Strong computer skills for data entry and report generation.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Collaborative team player, eager to share best practices and learn multiple production operations.
* Flexibility to shift tasks based on department needs.
* Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
