MAIN FUNCTION:

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers and nursing staff in the delivery of adult and pediatric nursing care. The Medical Assistant provides care in a professional manner in a demanding clinical environment.

This position reports to Practice Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications
*High school diploma or equivalent required
*CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification preferred
*Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
*One (1) year technical/vocational training school program or one (1) to three (3) years experience as a medical assistant or EMT-B certification required
