Description
The Mammography Technologist Intern is responsible for performing high quality mammography and diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a certified, licensed Mammography Technologist.

This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

This position reports to the Mammography Supervisor and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Associate's degree in Radiology or equivalent certification required

Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Radiologic Technologist for at least 1 year; continuing education credits must meet State and Registry licensing requirements

Current CPR certification required

One (1) to three (3) years of diagnostic radiology experience preferred; knowledge of all diagnostic procedures and radiographic equipment required

Candidates must obtain at least 16 hours of structured education credits in Mammography, as well as at least 8 hours of training in each modality of Mammography used. At least 1 CE credit or its equivalent in each content area of the Mammography registry is required

Candidates must meet registry requirements and be certified as a Mammography Technologist within twelve (12) months of hire or the position will be forfeited

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required; demonstrated excellent telephone etiquette required. EEO Statement
