Position Summary: Plans, coordinates and administers marketing efforts as they relate to all aspects of communication to both customers and the community.

Essential Functions:

1. Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.
2. Consistently meet expectations of teamwork, punctuality and regular, reliable attendance.
3. Enhances the Florence Bank brand through communication strategies that reflect our core values and the Bank's mission.
4. Develops and manages the coordination of external communications including messaging, creative development, launch dates, target audiences, channel selection and production. Develops a communications calendar and measures the impact of the communications.
5. Creates and manages a comprehensive social media strategy. Develops content, schedules and maintains posts and other notifications across social media platforms. Integrates ideas and strategies into social media plans.
6. Assists with the Bank’s corporate giving and sponsorships. Meets with nonprofits and makes recommendations for monetary support.
7. Manages the Bank’s presence in the press. Recommends content, oversees the production and distribution of press releases. Shares appropriate articles with stakeholders.
8. Develops and nurtures relationships with communications-oriented vendors including print, promotional, creative services, public relations, website management, and digital signage partners.
9. Coordinates internal marketing communications, campaign-related events and employee brand orientations.
10. Collaborates effectively with other department teams and represents the Marketing Department on Bank projects and new product/service rollouts.
11. Responsible for the management and coordination of all Bank related events and trade shows.
12. Coordinates and manages the annual customer calendar, along with the selection and ordering of bank premium items in support of the Bank’s business development efforts.
13. Participates on various committees as requested including the Compliance Committee.
14. Demonstrates effective knowledge of bank products, services and policies.
15. Represents the Bank in a positive way by being involved in Bank sponsored community and charitable events.
16. Demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional development.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

To be successful in this role you must have a 5+ years in a management level role and a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Your successful track record will include superior technical writing skills, demonstrated expertise in brand building and social media management, public relations experience and a proven track record of driving growth and engagement. Experience in the banking or credit union industry is preferred.

The following skills, experience, or background are necessary (with or without accommodation) for this position.
• Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent with courses in marketing, advertising, public relations, etc.
• Five to seven years of related marketing experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in social media management. Passion for using social media channels to communicate with online audiences.
• Thorough understanding of banking products, services, and competitors’ product lines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as advanced verbal and written communication skills.
