Description

TEMPORARY CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF

Temporary. Requires open availability, including evenings and weekends.
Status: Reports to Customer Service Managers
Pay Level: I, non-exempt.

Purpose: River Valley Co-op has an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary position to assist the management team, staff, and community during a challenging time. This position will be flexible to perform a myriad of tasks to help wherever they may be needed. The main focus will be on our new curbside pick-up service and our Customer Service team, with tasks including shopping, bagging, delivering orders to people's cars, and possibly cashiering.

Three key aspects of the job: flexibility, customer service, and the ability to multitask.

The Temporary Customer Service Staff is energized by learning many aspects of the retail grocery business and helping to inspire solutions to the unexpected.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL

Customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
The ability to prioritize projects and tasks.
The ability to work productively and independently.

FUNCTIONAL

The ability to lift 50 pounds.
The ability to work in a cold environment.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

PREFERRED

Demonstrated ability to work with customers and co-workers from various cultural backgrounds.
