Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Production Planning, the production planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize plant production capacity; as well as, managing inventory levels. Duties also include maintaining MRP and item parameters and ensuring that they are aligned to meet strategic KPI?s and ensuring that carriers pick-ups are scheduled and aligned to meet customer requirements.

Essential Job Duties:

Supports Customer Service in meeting Customer requests, lead times, questions, and expedites.
Schedules and adjusts production plans as required to support customer demand.
Reviews capacity and works with production to mitigate capacity constraints.
Meet KPI targets (OTIP, Inventory)
Align with Purchasing, Quality Control, Warehouse, Production, and other departments to meet customer orders.
Schedule carrier appointments; communicate any changes to schedule; and maintain data entry into ERP systems.
Comply with all company policies, rules, guidelines and behavior expectations.
Education & Experience:

Degree or equivalent work experience.
At least 1-3 years? experience in production planning or manufacturing.
Skills & Attributes

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent in problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team but also able to work independently.
