Job Description

Support the needs of internal/external customers in conjunction with the Quality System by performing inspection tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform mechanical inspections to support company needs.

Analyze defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommend corrective action.

Coordinate inspection in conjunction with the planning and shipping schedules. Verify visual and mechanical inspection and data review on final products being shipped to customer.

Work with quality assurance engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure effective inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained.

Assist in the development of production standards to meet quality specifications.

Inspect products being returned from the customer.

Inspect customer/government furnished equipment and keep receiving inspection reports of the equipment.

Maintain Safety Data Sheets.

Maintain Quality Control Files.

The Individual

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to understand and interpret blueprints required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Familiarity with standard measurement tools/gages such as calipers, micrometers and verniers required.

Understanding of shop mathematics required.

Education:

High School Diploma preferred.

1-3 years related experience required.

Security: U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
