Description

Berkshire County Arc is seeking an Employment Specialist to join our growing team.

**$250 Sign-On Bonus Eligible for New Hires after successful completion of 90- day orientation period**

Days and Hrs Vary 37.5 hrs/wk

Key job criteria/responsibilities/standards:
Provide effective training of individuals by conducting assessments, developing goals, proactively assisting individuals to accel at their jobs, etc.
Assist in the job development and job placement process, to ensure successful employment for individuals Participate in conferences, workshops, and other in-service training.
Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Employment Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency.
Patience and understanding in Supporting people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries.
Must effectively communicate with other staff, family members, and Individuals.

Requirements

Certifications. Licenses, Education Requirements:
Minimum BA and one year of experience. Experience in a vocational rehabilitation in supported employment program preferred.
*3-5 years of experience in a rehabilitation program or supported employment program may be accepted as a substitute for educational requirements.
First Aid & CPR certification.
Valid drivers license
