Billerica company is looking for a Kanban Coordinator

We are seeking a Kanban Coordinator to join our team. This role coordinates the Kanban management system to support parts availability to the line within DFT (Demand Flow Technology) standards. Responsible for the coordination of line side presentation of parts, including location, sizing and bin determination.  
Supports the Material Management team in maintenance of allocated sizing and set up for POUR locations.


Essential Job Responsibilities:
Maintain flow of parts delivery to assembly areas from RIP area. Monitor line locations for compliance of empty bin pick up, refill and delivery.
Maintain flow of parts delivery to the RIP area from stores. Monitor RIP locations for compliance of empty bin pick up, refill and delivery
Ensure smooth shop floor ECN implementation. Make sure new Kanban bins are in place, parts are supplied at 1st usage requirement and old parts are removed from their locations.
Maintain the integrity of the Kanban process. Maintain parts usage integrity and bin locations by part. Maintain Kanban labels and replace as needed
Evaluate possible improvements in the Kanban process and implement them on a continuing basis.

Required Job Qualifications (unless otherwise noted):
Educational Background
Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent; Associate?s degree preferred

Previous Work Experience
3-5 years? experience in a manufacturing environment,
Or associate?s degree with 1-2 years? experience in a manufacturing environment.  Preferred experience with materials, shipping/receiving, warehousing or logistics

Skills and Abilities
DFT (Demand Flow Technology)
Product knowledge and Kanban experience
Effective Interpersonal and Communication Skills; use of written and verbal communication skills to work with others in the process of perform the job
Computer proficiency and ability to use various software in the performance of the job, to include Microsoft Office, AS400 and various legacy manufacturing systems such as PRMS, Flowbase and others
Experience with SAP a plus
