The Junior Analyst participates in the execution of agency projects, reporting tasks and quality assurance activities that ensure full compliance with all applicable State (Division of Medical Assistance and the Executive Office of Elder Affairs) and Federal regulations, as well as Central Boston Elder Services? policies and procedures. The individual must be adept at providing an analysis of and offering insights into program and agency operations as well as community needs, prioritizing and effectively communicating critical findings. The Junior Analyst is a strong and vital collaborator and may be assigned to various departments to work exclusively on projects and development opportunities as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepares, analyzes, and summarizes operational, financial, and compliance reports as well as consumer and community feedback.
-Engages in special projects that improve service delivery, efficiency, and overall quality of operations.
-Actively participates as an advocate and expert to help promote the ongoing improvement of agency operations, including recommending new technologies, policies and/or processes.
-Contributes content crucial to winning grants and business proposals that further the agency?s mission.
-Serves as an advisor to staff responsible for developing quality initiatives.
-Serves as an operational and technical resource to support the management team.
-Designs, implements and documents technological and operational solutions.
-Identifies training needs and participates in the training and development of staff.
-Collaborates with other CBES departments as well as external partners, governmental agencies, and consumers.
-Attends internal and external meetings and serves on committees.
-Report suspected Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FW&A) as required by CBES policy.
-Protect Consumers? Personal Health Information (PHI) and report any suspected security breaches.
-Other duties and projects as assigned.

-Working knowledge of report design preferred.
-Knowledge of process design and improvement preferred.
-Experience in not-for-profit and/or human services organizations preferred.
-Experience with quality assurance preferred.
-Knowledge of EOEA regulations preferred.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor?s Degree required with at 1 year of relevant experience.
-2 years State Home Care case management experience and/or 2 years business process improvement experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
-Ability to lift and carry objects frequently weighing up to 10 to 15 pounds.
-Ability to climb stairs.
-Work requires regularly standing, stooping, and bending.
