Job Description

The Elms College Office of Experiential Learning (OEL) invites applicants for a Coordinator of Experiential Learning. The OEL promotes high-quality, hands-on ?experiential? learning for students through internships, research, study abroad, mission trips, volunteer service, and community-engaged learning in academic courses.

The Coordinator will support the implementation of the College?s Strategic Initiative to offer a high-impact experiential learning opportunity to every Elms student. This position reports to the Director of Experiential Learning, and will support a team including the Directors of Career Services, International Programs, Campus Ministry and the Experiential Learning Steering Committee to support OEL programming across the College.

Three areas of responsibility for the Coordinator include:

Data Coordination and Monitoring

Collaborate on and coordinate campus databases and educational technology resources (including Handshake, Colleague, Moodle, and e-portfolio systems), Including oversight of Student Google Site Ambassadors.
Manage systems of gathering and organizing participation data from academic departments and programs.
Manage and implement systems and processes of gathering and organizing data about EL program participation including Internships, Study Abroad, Mission Trips, Community Service, Research, and Community-Engaged Learning.
Manage and implement systems and processes of gathering and organizing data about student experiences, impacts and outcomes in the above programs for both assessment and marketing/outreach purposes.
For Community-Engaged Learning, develop and manage systems of gathering and organizing participation data from academic departments and programs
Interface with the following for program management, documentation, and assessment
Institutional Research
Registrar?s Office
Business Office
Career Services
International Programs
Assist Career Services in both ?front-end? and ?back-end? documentation and data management associated with internships
Event and Workshop Coordination

Monitor, promote, provide support for and lead workshops, class sessions, events and trainings supporting preparation and reflection related to experiential learning, in coordination with departments and programs, the Directors of Experiential Learning, International Programs, and Career Services.
Assist with coordination of EL events including showcases, fairs, poster sessions, panels, community engagement, educational workshops, and presentations for students, staff, faculty, & community partners.
Assist with fall, spring and summer EL opportunities outreach efforts and associated events
Engage Experiential Learning Partnerships/Stakeholders

Assist with identifying and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, business, and community partners.
Work with students on applying for experiential learning opportunities with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Establish and manage community work study sites, partnerships, student recruitment, selection, and training.
Produce EL communication, resources, and marketing through social media, print and web materials, and presentations.
Lead the e-Portfolio initiative by hiring and training student ambassadors to help students develop e-portfolios to highlight their EL learning.
Train and supervise student staff when appropriate.
Run routine reports for students, alumni, employers, staff, faculty, and departments.
Core Competencies & Qualifications:

Experience managing data and documentation related to students in curricular and co-curricular programming in higher education. Proficiency in Handshake and Colleague preferred.
Strong background in using technology such as Google sites.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to understand and infuse diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice into EL work.
