We support participants through a wide range of programs that teach life skills, foster independence, promote wellness and give everyone the chance to realize their potential.

Sunshine Village is currently recruiting for a (Part-Time) Occupational Therapist. Hours can be flexible and negotiated between Monday-Friday 8am-4pm  8 hrs a week).

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assess the occupational needs of participants including self-help, activities of daily living and sensory processing and modulation.
Develop care plans with specific objectives to develop skills that will lead to success in every-day life including dining guidelines.
Create wellness oriented programs to promote active lifestyles, motor coordination, coping strategies and sensory awareness.
Be knowledgeable of adaptive and assistive technology and recommend as appropriate.
Conduct weekly visits to programs to monitor therapeutic interventions and activities.
Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary team including the Program Managers and Case
Managers of on-going treatment issues, successes and concerns.
Participate as a member in the interdisciplinary team process, including discussions of on-going issues and solutions and quarterly and annual reviews.
Support staff training initiatives in all relevant areas.

Requirements:
Occupational Therapy License from an accredited program. Licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Valid MA driver's license and reliable transportation
