GREENFIELD

Overview

Center for New Americans seeks a part-time childcare worker for its Greenfield site. The childcare worker will take care of children whose parents are attending Center for New Americans¿ classes. Parents will be on site. This position requires the childcare provider to read with children regularly.

Schedule:

September through mid-June during morning classes as needed. This position will support classes which run from 8:30 to 10:30 AM 3 days per week, and potentially also classes which run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There are no classes during public school vacation weeks.

Location: Center for New Americans, Greenfield

Qualifications:

Successful candidates should have some work experience with the following:

Infants and toddlers
Caring for more than one young child in a work situation at the same time
Engaging with families from diverse backgrounds
Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Ideally, candidates will be able to provide references for past childcare work
Candidates must also be willing to submit to a CORI check.

Responsibilities:

Providing childcare
Reading to children in English in order to promote early literacy
