Job Description

The Family Support Specialist
is an energetic, passionate, and skillful individual with knowledge and
practice in community organizing/outreach, educational/training programs, and delivery of
human/social services. The Family Resource Specialist builds and maintains meaningful relationships
with parents who are seeking assistance and support to provide wholesome care for their children.
This position assists families with navigating public, legal, and human service systems, facilitates
parenting education and support groups, and conducts activities for social interaction and shared
learning.

We are Hiring
Full-time Family Support Specialist
Provide enhanced Intake, information, and referral services to parents/caregivers to secure
adequate assistance and support.
Provide ongoing case management to families who are in need of additional support and follow-up
services.
Assist in facilitating Parenting Education and Parent Support groups with evidence-based curricula
and community-based popular education for peer leadership and advocacy.
Conducts marketing and outreach weekly to community residents and service providers to promote
the use and support of Enlace FRC services, programs, and events.
Collect and enter data of participants for reporting and evaluation purposes into the data collection
program
Associate's degree is preferred

Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English is preferred.
Proficient with diverse social and cultural communities of color
Proficient in MS Office applications and competent with data-management platforms, multi-media
presentations, and Internet search engines;
Knowledge of Holyoke community resources and Holyoke community-based providers and
Experience working with families and individuals with a multitude of risk factors and needs;
Must be able to work some early evening hours.
Must have a valid driver?s license and own reliable transportation
$39,000- $43,000 per year Salary
Excellent health benefits, short-term disability, life insurance, and dental insurance. Paid eleven
holidays per year, twelve sick days, and two personal days per year plus paid vacation.
