Sulfamate Nickel Plater

Westfield Electroplating Company (WEPCO), a growing aerospace company, was founded in 1946 and is located in the western part of Massachusetts in the city of Westfield. WEPCO is family owned and operated and currently employs 200 highly skilled platers, painters, and technicians. WEPCO is a stable non-union facility with diverse aerospace and defense finishing capabilities servicing military, government, aviation, medical and electronic industries. WEPCO has the honor of being the first company in the country to achieve the National Aerospace and Defense Contractor Accreditation Program (NADCAP) accreditation in chemical processing, a status they have proudly continuously held over the last decade.

Position: Sulfamate Nickel Plater

Westfield Electroplating Company is looking for a skilled Experienced Sulfamate Nickel Plater for our dayshift. Qualified candidates should possess solid knowledge in effective sulfamate nickel plating techniques and parts racking.

Applicant must be familiar with industry process standards. Good verbal communication skills are required and the successful candidate must be self-motivated, reliable, industrious and able to work as a team with the management.

Pay Comments: Hourly rate depends on plating experience level plus a 15% shift differential. Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vacation, personal time off and 401K.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sulfamate nickel plating
Knowledge of plating specifications and work orders
Understanding of plating chemistry and processes
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work the specified shift hours

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate equipment and tools
Occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
