Description
The TSUBAKI name is synonymous with excellence in quality, dependability, and customer service. U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry.
The Area Manager, who works under the direction of the General Manager, is responsible for managing the production of high timing chain in coordination with safety, quality, engineering, planning, continuous improvement and manufacturing.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Preferred but not Required
8 - 10 Years of Automotive Manufacturing Experience; Five (5) to seven (7) years of Management experience working with metals is preferred
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management and ISO procedures is required
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Eight to ten years of experience effectively leading and managing people. A proven track record of implementing and successfully executing employee relations strategies and creating a positive work environment.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking with demonstrated accomplishments. Proven performance setting and exceeding customer service goals and profit targets.
Impeccable integrity; Superior interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and/or Six Sigma training preferred.
Excellent planning and organizational skills, extreme attention to details and significant computer skills.
Microsoft Office Excel, and Word
MRP/ERP Systems
Position requires weekends as needed with 24-hour notice.
