The Behavioral Health Follow-up Representative is responsible for the billing and follow-up of all Behavioral Health related hospital claims, including challenging denied or underpaid claims, identifying and reporting on billing and reimbursement issues and working to secure appropriate reimbursement in a timely manner. Daily Responsibilities and tasks:

Responsible for timely submission of daily and monthly BH claims including Inpatient, Partial
Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient services for all insurance payers.
Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurance plans.
Researching and appealing denied claims.
Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtaining any missing information from multiple sources.
Responsible for timely follow-up of all outstanding Behavioral Health Claims including Inpatient,
Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient claims.
Communicate with third-party representatives as necessary to complete claims processing and/or resolve problem claims by phone and MassHealth website.:
