As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be an integral part of the procurement team, responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and components. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Supplier Sourcing: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting market research, and analyzing supplier capabilities to ensure a robust and diverse supplier base.
Negotiations: Collaborating with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, ensuring the best value for the company while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Procurement Strategy: Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, optimizing costs, quality, and delivery.
International Shipping: Managing the logistics of international shipping, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and coordinating shipments to meet production and distribution requirements.
Supplier Performance: Monitoring supplier performance, addressing any issues that arise, and working closely with suppliers to improve overall performance and reliability.
Contract Management: Drafting and managing procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various departments including engineering, production, and quality assurance to ensure seamless procurement processes that support overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting.
Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of successful supplier negotiations.
Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations.
Technical acumen to understand the specifications and requirements of various materials and components.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier relationship management.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements
