Lift Attendant

Charlemont, MA, USA 15-15 per hour 15.00 Hourly Seasonal
Summit Season ski pass, food & merchandise discounts, friends & family discounts

Monitors loading and unloading of guests and related equipment on chair lifts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be 18 years of age.
Start up and shut off lift as instructed by manager.
Provide guests with basic instruction on loading & mountain bikes and themselves.
Familiarize guests with the safety equipment used on the lift.
Observe and assist guests if they have difficulties using the lift or loading bikes.
Ensure that guests are using lifts properly and safely.
Check lift ticket or season pass ensuring it's current and valid.
Load and unload gear (i.e. mountain bikes).
Enforce age or ability restrictions when loading the lifts.
Maintain loading and unloading ramps at required specifications.
Complete daily lift logs or other required paperwork.
Report lift related accidents or injuries to manager immediately.
Report malfunction or other lift issues to maintenance immediately.
Assist maintenance with trouble shooting when requested.
Complete tramway incident reports as required.
May cross train as a mountain coaster lift operator.
Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

Skilled in providing outstanding customer service.
Must follow company procedures for maintaining a safe workplace.
Must pay attention to detail and have an extreme dedication to safety.
Must pass lift operator training session prior to working at lifts.
Must have a friendly and fun disposition and connect with guests.
Communicate clearly using 2 way radios.

Physical Demands:

Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
