This 2nd Shift Inspector role is responsible for performing and receiving inspections, and in-process inspections following QAP's, work instructions, and product manuals. Ensuring adherence to customer and regulatory requirements, this position will also issue subcontract purchase orders and perform receiving inspection of purchase order receipt material.
Job Responsibilities
Perform visual and dimensional inspection functions of customer materials, purchased replacement details and materials sent for subcontract work
Ensure measuring and test equipment is fully calibrated and in proper working order before use
Issue documents relating to inspection/quality functions (i.e., receiving reports, route cards and/or travelers, revisions to inspection reports, PBOM reports, spare parts requisitions, corrective action requests and supplier corrective action requests
Initiate purchase orders to send material to a vendor for sub-contract work
Ensure adherence to EEAC quality standards and procedures
Required Skills / Knowledge
HS&E policy and able to interpret HS&E warnings
Understanding of FAA, CAAC, EASA, and ISO regulations regarding quality
Basic understanding of Customer Purchase orders
Computer software (MS Office, Word, Excel and internet navigation)
Familiarity with machine shop equipment (CNC machines, lathes, mills EDM, etc.)
Machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniques
Read and write the English language per FAA regulations
Multi-task and prioritize to meet company deadlines
Skilled in Oral and Written Communication (English)
Skilled in the use of dimensional measuring and test equipment (i.e., Micrometers, Dial Calipers, Depth Micrometers)
Read complex blueprint specifications, charts, and follow work orders and engineering instructions as necessary
Interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5
Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience in an inspection field preferred
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
Professional appearance and demeanor
Good dexterity (grip, grasp, clutch)
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours a day
Must be able to pass a vision exam as required
