Job Description

2) We are looking for a 24/7 Nights Metal Finisher to work for a company in Chicopee on a temp to hire basis. Pay is $22 to start (with a $1.00 shift differential). Schedule is 3 nights on, 2 nights off and every other weekend off.

General Duties:

Operate a variety of finishing and drying machines & equipment.

Operations consist of loading prescribed loads in machines, the proper amount of cleaning and abrasive materials and washing compounds, etc.

Move and handle materials and supplies within the work area; store and handle as required.

Remove loads from machines following established procedures and process through rinse and/or oil bath where required.

Follow established procedures in maintaining solutions at proper strength and level; add to mixtures as prescribed.

Check work in process for uniformity and consistency of quality per established inspection standard.

Perform any of the duties of the Metal Finishing Dept. as necessitated by volume and flow of work or to meet schedules.

Responsible for maintaining production schedules and quality control records.

Record production and time data. Provide for minor maintenance of equipment; detect faulty operation or defective material, and report these and other questionable conditions to superior

Required Skills include:

Must be a self starter and follow direction from supervisor

1-2 years of manufacturing experience

Strong mechanical aptitude
