Description
Are you a passionate legal professional that is meticulous in detail? A search for a Junior Paralegal is ongoing through Robert Half to oversee intake and matter management for an esteemed client. The Junior Paralegal's responsibilities will enclose conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing documents, supporting cases, and likely extend into other diverse areas as assigned, requiring a creative mind and problem solving abilities. Responsibilities will cover working independently as well as in a broader team. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire role, which is based in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. What you get to do every day
- Cross-reference copies and originals to confirm both are proper
- Categorize documents and assemble data as directed by lawyers and paralegals
- Take care of computer database input and retrieval
- Produce correspondence and memorandum
- Gather documents for photocopying/scanning
- Perform legal research and investigative tasks, including obtaining information or documents from outside parties, as directed
- Ability to perform word processing, filing and faxing
- Govern matter management and record keeping
- Screen and retrieve electronic documents from a variety of court and agency web sites
- Deposit e-files and documents into the proper folders
Requirements
- Strong organization skills
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate a plus
- Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time-frames in a fast-paced environment
- Former Paralegal or Legal Assistant or legal support experience strongly preferred
- Reliable technology and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with using the internet for research tasks
- Solid computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
- Demeanor to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines
- Proven knowledge of Direct Phone Calls
- Deep understanding of Client communications
- Calendar Management experience
- Personal Injury Law experience
- General familiarity with File management systems
- Personal Injury Litigation experience
- Calendar Management experience
- Well-founded grasp of Inbound Telephone Calls
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
