Job Description
The Hotel Northampton is looking for a Front Desk Agent to proudly serve as our guest, first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation.
The Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. Ultimately, you will take pride in creating a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we'd like to meet you.
Some of your responsibilities and the qualities we are looking for in a candidate :
Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises
Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations.
Handle customer complaints in a highly professional way as needed
Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests' needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, or special requests
Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests
General bookkeeping: ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist.
Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Office and reservation management systems
