The Supply Chain & Manufacturing Process Coordinator is responsible for creating, issuing, and maintaining production schedules to support our customers, reviewing and updating routings, BOM's for MTO's in MRP/ERP system, and identifying potential new suppliers and working with the PE/ME and SC to get them qualified.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
Assist planners and production supervisors with production schedules and prioritize based on customer needs to optimize production efficiency.
Monitor and track Shop floor expedites and check with Mfg. Supervisors on the status. Plus, check on the NCM status that impacts customer orders.
Review and analyze capacity data to ensure labor and machine resources are available to meet demand - support the implementation of resource planning in QAD.
Work with Product Eng. and Purchasing to get new suppliers qualified, develop tracking reports, and meet monthly with the team on the trails.
Update in-process BOM's and Manufacturing routings as needed or required by associated manufacturing variances.
Evaluate existing routings, machine, and labor rates, and work with ME/IE to perform process studies and review the results. Then forward results to PE to update QAD.
Participate in value stream, analyzing and identifying opportunities to remove waste to drive up productivity, including project plans, timeline, and presentations.
Support customer service and respond back on expedites and quotes.
Facilitate the cycle count program in key areas and work with Mfg. to improve our accuracy.
Interact closely with Purchasing/ME/Mfg. Supervisors and other key personnel to support your customer needs.
Support all Supply Chain objectives including Continuous Improvement and Inventory Management initiatives.
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business or Industrial Engineering preferred.
2+ years of related work experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information from our MRP/ERP system. Ability to respond to suppliers and present information to a group.
Ability to comprehend and apply business math skills as they apply to analyzing planning and capacity data. Plus, work with improving our inventory turns/cc process between RM and work in process.
Ability to apply principles of Supply/Planning Tools to everyday business. fast-paced operations and have good problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office-Excel, Power Point, and Word.
Strong communication and time management skills
